Operating Instructions

The Menu

• Program
  • General Preferences opens a Form to change the way searching works, how the play buttons operate, and allow changing the "connection string". This is the text that describes how TASLL connects to the SQL database.
  • Automation Scenarions opens a Form to adjust how the Video Player presents its video
  • Select Current User opens a form to edit/select the users of TASLL. The TASLL window layout and which automation scenarios are assigned to each play button are all saved separatly for each user.
  • Check for Upgrades switches to the Upgrade program, which in turn allows you to download the latest changes.
  • Quit closes TASLL
• Video
  • Edit Locations opens a form to inform the database where each DVD is stored on your computer.
  • Comment on Selected Play List Item opens a form to change the name and comment for the selected clip. Play list comments are displayed at the bottom left part of the window.
  • Comment on Selected Clip in Search Results opens a form to change the comment for the selected clip. earch comments are displayed at the bottom right part of the window.
  • Import Video/Playlists from File allows users to import playlists from other users.
  • Import Video/Playlists from website allows importing of the latest database info from the website.
  • Assign Last Played DVD Clip As Scripture will open a small form to enter the scripture name. Thereafter the scripture can be directly refrenced in the search area, or added to play lists.

  • Show/Hide Play List Items shows or hides the play list section. As the menu notes, Control-shift-P can also be used at any time.
  • Show/Hide Search shows or hides the search section. As the menu notes, Control-shift-S can also be used at any time.
